Telmatherina
Telmatherina is a genus of sailfin silversides endemic to the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The Sail-fin silversides are a family of atheriniform fish, the Telmatherinidae, inhabiting fresh and brackish water. All but one species are restricted to the island of Sulawesi, and most are found solely in the Malili Lakes of that island. They are small fish, ranging from 3 centimetres (1.2 in) to 8 centimetres (3.1 in) in length. They are named for the sail-like shape of their first dorsal fin in the males, which are also brightly coloured, compared with the females.
